The low concussion muzzle brake compensator is designed to reduce both felt recoil and muzzle rise while minimizing the side-directed concussive blast commonly associated with aggressive muzzle brake designs. Standard high-efficiency brakes vent gas directly to the sides, which is effective at reducing recoil but creates significant blast and concussion for shooters positioned beside the muzzle — a drawback in bench rest, team shooting, or range environments. The low concussion design redirects gases in a pattern that reduces this lateral blast while still providing effective upward venting to control muzzle rise. The result is a muzzle device that is more comfortable for both the shooter and nearby personnel without completely sacrificing recoil reduction performance. Thread pitch is 1/2-28, the standard for .223/5.56 NATO AR-15 barrels — verify your barrel thread pitch before ordering. Install with a crush washer or peel washer and torque to manufacturer specifications using a barrel vise and armorers wrench.
