The shark-profile muzzle compensator features aggressive lateral porting that vents propellant gases upward and to the sides as they exit the barrel, directly countering muzzle rise and reducing felt recoil. The distinctive shark fin port geometry maximizes gas surface area contact, producing effective compensation across a broad range of loads without the side blast associated with single-port or brake-only designs. The compensator installs directly onto the threaded barrel muzzle and should be timed and torqued using a crush washer or peel washer with a barrel vise and armorers wrench. Verify your barrel thread pitch before ordering — 1/2-28 for .223/5.56 NATO barrels, 5/8-24 for .308/7.62 barrels. Machined from steel with a matte black or stainless steel finish depending on variant. The finish provides corrosion resistance under field conditions and withstands the heat and carbon fouling associated with sustained fire. Tiger Rock muzzle devices are designed as affordable, functional upgrades for AR-platform rifles without sacrificing durability or performance.
