Strike Industries JCOMP Gen2 1/2-28 AR-15 Compensator Features
The JCOMP Gen2 is a hybrid muzzle brake/compensator for AR-15 pattern rifles with 1/2-28 threaded muzzles — the standard thread pitch for 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington barrels. Its 2-chamber design redirects propellant gases upward through ports machined into the top of the body, countering muzzle rise for a flatter sight picture and faster follow-up shots. The JCOMP concept draws on the Type 89 rifle used by Japan’s Self-Defense Forces and Coast Guard special units, and this Gen2 version is compatible with the Strike Industries Oppressor blast shield and FerFrans concussion reduction devices.
