The VG6 Gamma 762 is a hybrid muzzle brake and compensator designed for .308 Winchester, 7.62×51, and 6.5 Creedmoor barrels with a 5/8-24 thread pitch. The .308 cartridge generates significantly more recoil energy than 5.56, and the Gamma 762 is dimensionally scaled to handle that additional gas volume with large-volume side ports and a top compensation chamber. It is compatible with AR-10, DPMS LR-308, and other large-frame semi-automatic platforms, as well as bolt-action rifles with a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle. The black nitride satin finish provides a durable, low-glare coating that resists wear and corrosion better than a standard phosphate finish. A crush washer or jam nut should be used to properly orient the ports and secure the device during installation. For .308 and 7.62 shooters who run high round count drills, compete in precision rifle events, or simply want to reduce fatigue during extended range sessions, the VG6 Gamma 762 is a proven muzzle device built specifically for the demands of the larger cartridge.
