The ROMEO1 uses a wide, open emitter design that provides an unobstructed field of view and allows both-eyes-open target acquisition for improved situational awareness during dynamic shooting. The open emitter keeps the sight picture clean and uncluttered, allowing the shooter to focus on the target while the dot is superimposed over the sight picture without the visual boundary of a tube-style optic. Multiple brightness settings allow the dot intensity to be adjusted for ambient lighting — brighter settings for direct sunlight, reduced settings for indoor or low-light environments to prevent the dot from washing out against the target. The ROMEO1 mounts to any standard Picatinny or Weaver rail section using the included mount, and is also compatible with Sig Sauer pistols equipped with a ROMEO1-ready optic cut on the slide — allowing the sight to mount directly to the slide without a rail adapter for a lower, more integrated mounting position. The optic is constructed from a lightweight aluminum housing with a hard-anodized finish for corrosion and scratch resistance. Battery replacement is accessible without removing the optic from the firearm, using a commonly available battery type. The ROMEO1 is nitrogen purged and sealed for fog-proof and waterproof performance across a wide range of environmental conditions.
