The Seekins Precision DNA AR-15 Charging Handle gives you a solid, secure grip on your rifle’s charging handle when it matters most. “DNA” stands for Seekins’ own description of the design — a purpose-built right-hand latch with an oversized, deeply skeletonized handle body. The full-width diamond-textured grip surface makes the handle easy to find and pull under stress or while wearing gloves, even though the latch itself stays on the standard mil-spec right side. Machined from aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum and finished in a hard-coat black anodize, the DNA is built to hold up to hard use. It’s a direct drop-in upgrade for any standard mil-spec AR-15 upper receiver.

The charging handle is the control used to manually cycle the bolt carrier group rearward to chamber the first round, clear a malfunction, or lock the bolt to the rear for inspection. A standard mil-spec latch can be small and hard to grab quickly, especially with gloves on — the DNA’s oversized, textured latch and handle body solve that without adding weight or complexity. The Seekins DNA installs as a direct drop-in replacement in any standard mil-spec AR-15 upper receiver; no modification to the upper receiver, bolt carrier group, or other components is required. Installation just involves removing the existing charging handle and bolt carrier group and reinstalling with the DNA handle — a basic field-level task requiring no special tools.
