Description

The Geissele Super Duty Stripped Lower Receiver in Desert Dirt Color (DDC) — a precision-forged 7075-T6 aluminum lower with Geissele’s signature Cerakote finish for AR-15 builds.

  • 7075-T6 aluminum forging: same alloy grade as military-contract M4A1 lowers, machined to Geissele’s tighter-than-TDP tolerances
  • DDC Cerakote over Type III hardcoat anodize: Geissele’s proprietary Desert Dirt Color applied over a MIL-A-8625 Type III base coat for a two-layer finish
  • Nylon-tipped tensioning set screw: eliminates upper-to-lower receiver play
  • Factory new production: not blemished, not reworked — first-run Geissele factory output

The DDC variant of the Super Duty lower is functionally identical to the black version — same 7075-T6 forging, same machining spec, same nylon-tipped tensioning screw — but finished in Geissele’s Desert Dirt Color Cerakote. DDC is the same color Geissele applies to the Mk16 rail on the URG-I program upper, making this lower a natural match for builders assembling a URG-I-pattern rifle. The color sits between flat dark earth and coyote brown, with a slight greenish undertone that distinguishes it from standard FDE.

The forging is machined to tighter dimensional tolerances than standard mil-spec on the magazine well, trigger pin holes, and takedown pin bores. The Type III hardcoat anodize goes on first as the corrosion and wear base, then the DDC Cerakote is applied over it — a two-layer system that gives the receiver both the hardness of anodize and the color consistency of Cerakote.

The receiver ships stripped — no fire control group, buffer assembly, or grip. Compatible with any mil-spec AR-15 lower parts kit. Marked 5.56 NATO.

We keep these in stock for URG-I builders who want a color-matched lower without mixing brands. The DDC finish from Geissele is consistent batch to batch — pair it with a Mk16 rail and the tones will match. Order yours today.
