This clamp-on sling swivel mounts at the right or left side of the weapon, between the barrel bands of the mil-spec front sight housing. It fits AR-15/M4 barrels with an A-frame front sight base and a 0.750″ gas block journal. It does not fit thin-profile barrels or A1 USGI barrels. New Colt-packaged parts require riveting the sling loop to the clamp; new take-offs ship with the rivet already installed.
