CMMG manufactures their low profile gas blocks to consistent tolerances for reliable performance across their product line. The low profile design sits flush below most free-float handguards, keeping your build clean and streamlined. In addition, the set screw installation method keeps the gas block secure under the heat and pressure of sustained fire. Furthermore, the low profile form factor gives you more handguard options compared to a standard front sight base or clamp-style block. Also, the compact size reduces the overall weight of your gas system without adding bulk. When you need a reliable low profile gas block that installs cleanly and works with most free-float handguards, this CMMG gas block is a practical and dependable option. Set screws are included for installation.
A .625 inch barrel journal is most common on lightweight pencil-profile and government-profile AR-15 barrels. Pairing a low profile gas block with a free-float handguard on a lightweight barrel is one of the most effective ways to reduce overall rifle weight without sacrificing reliability. When you want a clean, streamlined gas system on a lightweight AR-15 build, the CMMG .625 low profile gas block gives you a dependable starting point.
