Description

Compact, quiet, and ultralight, versatile

The titanium version of the Helios QD and originally designed for the 5.56 NATO belt-fed M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, the CGS Helios QD Ti is incorporates industry leading features. Manufactured with DMLS (3D Printed) titanium and coated inside and out creates a simple package that is more durable than other titanium cans. The DMLS process builds the complex gas flow path up layer by layer, meaning this design has no welds, and this eliminates a common weakness in other designs. Another key element to the Helios QD is the overbore design, which reduces back pressure. This allows shooters to use the Helios on any caliber up to .300 Norma Mag. Tapered threads help prevent carbon locking of end caps. A unique, patented “Vary Core Diameter” helps minimize flash while and achieve superior sound reduction for its size. In addition to a hard case, the Helios QD comes with both 1/2X28 and 5/8X24 threaded rear caps, vented and solid front caps, and a 1.375X24 adapter ring which accepts many different QD mounting solutions. It has been coated outside with PVD Black DLC. The internal surfaces have been coated with SX Line or Hexagonal Boron Nitride which helps reduce fouling buildup to a minimum while also prolonging the life of the silencer and helping to reduce sparking common on many titanium silencers.

If you are looking for a hard use variant of this silencer, look at the Inconel version.

With 5.56, the Helios QD Ti is extremely low back pressure due to the generous bore.  This also allows it to be used on larger calibers, all the way up to 300 Norma mag.  The “Bravo” or “Omega” mounting thread pitch (1.375×24) accepts a number of mounting solutions.  While it comes with both 1/2×28 and 5/8×24 direct thread mounts, it can utilize almost every mounting system currently available.  The front caps are interchangeable as well.  The CGS Helios QD Ti ships with a sealed cap for maximum sound suppression, as well as a ported cap to reduce blowback if needed.
